Zenato
Carrying on old traditions, this Amarone wine is a majestic and opulent expression of the Valpolicella region.
About the Wine:
This wine comes from the Zenato winery in Italy's Valpolicella area. Zenato has been making great wines for many years, and this Amarone is one of their best.
The Story:
Amarone is a special kind of wine. Long ago, people in Valpolicella made a sweet wine called Recioto. But one day, they let the wine sit for too long, and it turned into Amarone – a rich and strong wine that wasn't sweet. It was a happy mistake! Today, Zenato makes Amarone using the best methods to make sure it tastes perfect.
Where It's From:
Valpolicella is a beautiful place between Lake Garda and the city of Verona in Italy. The weather and soil there are just right for growing grapes. This is where the grapes for this Amarone come from.
Tasting Notes
Deep, dark red in color. Almost like a ruby.
Smell:
You'll catch scents of ripe dark fruits, like plums and cherries. There's also a hint of spices, maybe a touch of vanilla or chocolate.
Taste:
First, you'll taste those dark fruits you smelled. Then, as the wine stays in your mouth, you might notice flavors like dried figs or raisins. It's a rich and full wine, but it's smooth. There's a warm, slightly sweet finish, thanks to some notes of oak.
Feel:
This wine feels velvety and rich on the tongue. It's full-bodied, meaning it has a strong and lasting flavor.
